We have scheduled this member-meeting for an in-depth review of the requirements for the ISO-4448-Part8 draft technical standard that Bern is drafting with an ISO working group. We invite members and research guests to register and participate if you are interested and available.

Part 8 of the standard focuses on the rules for PMRs to signal their navigational and social intentions to non-involved bystanders. These signals include visual, auditory, and gestural signals and must be inclusive of bystanders who may be blind, deaf, or cognitively impaired.  This meeting currently involves attendees from a few US universities and the CNIB.  Date: October 21, 2024
